Professor Mike Pringle, CBE MD FRCGP FMedSci
Director of Education

Mike is Professor of General Practice in the University of Nottingham; Strategic Director of PRIMIS+; former Chairman of the Royal College of General practitioners (1998-2001); ex-member of the General Medical Council; member of the council of the Medical Defence Union; and deputy chair of the board of UK Biobank. He is Medical Director for Revalidation and Chair of Trustee Board in the RCGP.

   
Julie Reid

Director and Company Secretary

Julie returned to the NHS in 2001 following 6 years general management within warehousing and distribution. She is a former member of a Trent Breast Screening Quality Assurance team, Trent IHM regional committee member and past Chair of the Newark & Sherwood Practice Managers’ Forum.
Julie is Practice Manager at the Collingham Medical Practice, Director of Collingham Pharmacy and current chair of the Newark & Sherwood Health Board . She has experience of practice assessment visits (both provider and assessor) in the PMCPA pilots. She is co-founder of the original CHEC.

   
Dr Lisa Terrill

Dr Lisa Terrill, MB BS MRCGP
Director

Lisa is a full time GP at the Collingham Medical Centre, having completed her GP training in 1998.  She worked as a locum in many Practices until becoming a Partner in Collingham in 2001.  Dr Terrill’s interests include minor surgery, diabetes and teaching.  She became a GP Trainer in 2005 with the Lincoln Vocational Training Scheme.  She also worked as an appraiser with Newark & Sherwood PCT until 2005.
   
Jacqui Smith

Jacqui Smith, MBA (Health Executive) CMS DCR(T)
Chief Executive

Previously an Associate Director in a large acute Trust and a radiographer by profession, Jacqui has over 30 years NHS experience both as a clinician and in management and education. She achieved an MBA (Health Executive) in 2005. Specialising in service redesign and leadership, Jacqui is also a former finalist for CIPFA Public Servant of the Year 2004. Jacqui is also an experienced project manager and is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner. She has previously been responsible for capital projects up to £12m and revenue £23m.

   
Judith Baron

Judith worked for 30 years as a teacher & manager in secondary education, before joining CHEC in 2006, as administrator. She now works as one of the Education Co-ordinators.

   
Rosie Aird

Ms Rosie Aird
Co-ordinator

After 13 years in WRAF, Rosie worked in the prison service for 14 years. She was responsible for organising, developing and delivering staff training. Rosie is currently undertaking her Foundation degree in Events Management.

   
Niki Curtis

Miss Niki Curtis
Administrator

Niki is a qualified, experienced administrator, who joined CHEC in January 2010 having previously been a legal secretary with Ringrose Law.
   
Diana Kirk

Diana Kirk, FIHM DSM MCMI
Practice Management Consultant

Diana is Practice Director at Lombard Street Surgeries in Newark and a Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Management. She has a particular interest in training and development and has recently led her practice to its third successful re-accreditation in Investors in People. She is a previous runner up in the Doctor ‘Practice Manager of the Year’ awards and an occasional contributor of articles for Practice Manager Publications. She is a past Chair of the Newark & Sherwood Practice Managers’ Forum and a member of the Trent re-approval visiting teams for GP trainers.
