THE CHEC PRACTICE DIAGNOSTICS SERVICE

CHEC has undertaken over 100 practice reveiws. Each review involves:
  • Preparation (scoping, information gathering)
  • A practice visit lasting either half or a full day conducted by a trained and experienced team
  • A review report (which can include a Practice Development Plan if required)
CHEC offers four types of practice diagnostics. The type chosen depends on the specific issues to be addressed. In addition, CHEC can tailor a review to specific local needs.

The four types of practice review are:

 

  The Model  The Application 
 PCT Quality Assurance This is usually commissioned for a group of practices and covers all areas.
 2  Accreditation This concentrates on standards in nGMS, IM&T DES, CQC registration and RCGP practice accreditation
 3  Professional Development This features practice preparation for revalidation and learning credits
 4  Management This has special emphasis on practice management, leadership and finances.
